How Toyota handled my car after a nasty crash due to bad weather

I couldn’t get out of the vehicle due to the weather, and the Mahindra Scorpio N driver sped away.

BHPian shikh_oberoi recently shared this with other enthusiasts:

Had a nasty and unfortunate accident because of bad weather.

A metro roofing sheet came flying on the highway. It hit the bonnet, the A pillar and both the right doors, the rear quarter panel and the tail light.

It was a blackout in an instant, followed by two loud crashing sounds.

The damage

The second sound was from the car coming from behind. A Scorpio N couldn’t apply the brakes and hit my car.

Because the weather was so bad, I couldn’t get out of the car and the Scorpio driver sped away.

Now the car’s at the workshop

After 20 days and a 1 lakh rupees bill plus 7k service charge, this is how Toyota returned my car. Had to wait 90 minutes even after telling them I was coming to take the car.

The guy was attaching the name emblems on the boot while the car was in line for washing.

They can’t cover the car with a 100 Rs tarp.

This part missing even though no work was needed to be done on this door.

Sunroof area not cleaned.

Paint on both sides of the roof rails.

New Windshield film by Toyota: The Spots.

Paint already chipped

Messy residue plus another area chipped.

Best of all was the 0.5 kmpl mileage figure shown on the dashboard.

They kept the car running for God knows how many hours.

My friend used to say Toyota’s service is the best.

I have asked the advisor to get the car dry cleaned, remove the spots on the windshield, and replace the missing parts.

Another thing that I missed. When opening the boot, the lock is making 10 times noise than earlier.
